Evolution

DNA's evolve based on a series of relationship cues in chat. Narrative transitioning occurs automatically based on 12 interaction heuristics that are steadily evaluated as they pertain to evolving relationship states.

Relationship dimensions considered:

  • No personal information is shared; the conversation sticks to general or public topics.

  • High level of personal information shared, indicating deep trust and openness.

  • Strong expressions of love or deep affection, are indicative of a romantic relationship or deep emotional bond.

Hate

  • No signs of dislike or hostility; the interaction is neutral or positive.

  • Clear indicators of animosity or conflict, such as negative language, opposition, or expression of anger.

  • Strong alignment in interests, hobbies, or values, often discussed and central to the interaction.

Relevance

  • Conversation topics or responses are off-topic or inappropriate for the situation or relationship stage.

  • High relevance with topics and responses well-matched to the current context and stage of the relationship.

Trust

  • Indicators of suspicion or distrust are present; reluctance to share personal information.

  • Frequent use of humor, which is well-received and reciprocated, indicates a comfortable and positive relationship.

Respect

  • Signs of disrespect or devaluation of the other person's opinions or feelings.

  • High regard for the other person's views, feelings, and dignity, irrespective of agreement.

Reciprocity

  • One-sided conversation with little mutual exchange or acknowledgment.

DNA's calculates the implicit ratings associated with each heuristic, deciding whether to progress, stagnate, or at times regress the relationship state according to deterministic outcome.
